The abstract realm and down to earth

The interpretation of a horoscope means a translation of the cosmic data to the actual concrete appearance. With that we descend from the abstract areas to the daily reality. In other words, we transform (6.2) the higher cosmic potential into the individual partial field. In it, each person has their own cultural values and personal expectations, including the frictions and pain that apparently want to be felt. The appearance in the matter automatically (1.3, 11.2, 16.2) entails these projections (0.1).

Convert and leave intact

As long as we worked with abstract planetary relationships, those personal values were not weighed. This is also not the intention in a research situation. Here a personal distance from the research material is required. But in the practical horoscope interpretation, those personal values and expectations now appear as living images and motivations. (25.7). Therefore, in the discussion with the owner of the horoscope (22.17), it is still important for the time being to name these values in their function as I-identification (17.2) and to leave them intact.

The outer and inner Path

When the ego would be passed in its anchoring function, by continuing to communicate from the abstract, it would become alienated (17.2) from its own reference points. In the person, the (highly potentiated) information cannot be digested and thus continues to work as a superpersonal power. This approach is known as the "Way Out" and can have a damaging effect in the I function. Moreover, it places the astrologer in an improper position of power. This gives food for thought!

All things considered, the discussion of a horoscope, at the same time as making the actual constellation visible, also requires the presentation of its function in this present life. We know this as "the inner path". In this method, the owner of the horoscope can also be safely returned to himself at the end of the discussion.

The astrologer as a centipede

For example, we see that in addition to the ability to comprehend the technical (beta) insights in Chapiter One and to move in the more intuitive (alpha) world of thought of Chapiters Two, Three and Four, such an interpreting discussion also needs a third (gamma) quality from the (self-reflecting) astrologer. In this way the born one can recognize himself in the interpretation provides and "come home" to himself in it. This shows the presupposed and multifaceted professionalism of the astrologer.

Two entrances for interpretation

In our exploration on The InnerSky, we found a starting point for interpretation in both the Moon (22.2) and the Ascendant (9.2).

Because in the first case the Moon is all-determining, and in the second case the analysis of the horoscope takes place entirely outside the Moon, the two approaches differ essentially from each other. The yield of both interpretation routes is also essentially different in nature. But in the end, we will also see both roads touch in a final point.

To get a good overview of both approaches, we'll gather a few touchstones of each hereafter.
